Camp Carnival has a picturesque location, with a breathtaking panoramic view of Himalayas. At camp carnival you will find an unusual mix of beauty, comfort and adventure. Our camping program has been carefully cultivated to ensure that you get to experience a unique activity driven holiday that is physically arduous but mentally rejuvenating.
Kanatal is a little known small and a quiet hamlet in Uttaranchal. A prime location on the Chamba-Mussoorie highway, it’s an easy six to seven hours drive from Delhi (300 kms), 70 Kms from Dehradun & Rishikesh, 40 Kms from Mussoorie, 17 Kms from Chamba and 12 Kms from Dhanaulti.
Nature lovers or just about anyone would fall in love with the place. The reasons are aplenty. The air is crisp and cool. The sky, sunny and blue. The view of the snow capped Garhwal-Himalayas is spectacular. Chirping birds. Glorious sunsets. Deep forests. In all, nature at its supreme best.
If you are looking for some busy outdoor action, Camp Carnival is your playground. At 8,500 feet, the exotic hills rise rapidly into the mountains as you near them, and open into alluring valleys. The place has lots of pine trees where one can go for adventure sports like night hiking, trekking, rappelling, jumaring, snow walks(winters only), river crossing etc. You can also indulge in outdoor pleasures of bonfires, live bar-be-que cooking, night picnics, jungle safaris, and experience the joys of an adventure camp in the wild. Or simple still, laze around, relax, and watch the heavy clouds loom jealously, driving over from summit to summit.
Summers are pleasant here. Temperatures hover between 10-25 degrees, a welcoming relief from the heat and dust of crowded cities. Winters are chilly. Between minus 5 and 18 degrees. December and February is usually the best time to visit as the entire hill station is blanketed with snow, transforming the landscape into a ravishing white wonderland. But, the place is cool and clear even in peak summers.
Kanatal is a 365-day destination to beat away the city blues. Relatively unknown to the outside world, it is untouched, untamed and unspoilt. Discerning tourists seek communion with nature here. And once here, your restoration is guaranteed. When most well-known hill resorts in the North are becoming crowded and polluted, Camp Carnival is a much needed relief. Nothing is wilted. Nothing is sad here. Green, calm and serene. Nowhere at sight are the bustling shopping malls or the noisy humdrum of daily life. It's just simple natural pleasures, reflective thoughts, and secluded walks. Dart on. Look no further. Welcome to Camp Carnival!
